Corporation considers Opelousas

St. Landry Economic Development has voted to offer a $125,000 incentive in the hopes of attracting a major new corporate headquarters to the parish.
“This would almost be a game changer,” said SLED Executive Director Bill Rodier. He argued that “Project Shield” could be as big an economic plum for the parish as the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
