LTBA Breeders Sales of Louisiana 2024 Yearling Sale Results

The Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association’s Breeders Sales of Louisiana held its 2024 Yearling Sale followed by Mixed Session, Friday, September 27th at the Louisiana Equine Sales and Event Center in Opelousas.
170 yearlings were cataloged with 14 outs. 122 yearlings sold for a gross of $1,214,700, and an average of $9,957. The median was $5,000. There were 34 RNAs.
23 of 35 horses catalogued in the mixed sale sold including 14 mares, 7 horses of racing age and 2 weanlings. There were 3 RNAs. The mixed sale total was $42,700 with an average of $1,857.
The gross for the overall sale was $1,257,400.
The sale topper was Hip 97, a bay colt by Lexitonian out of Spun Lace bringing the hammer down for the price of $115,000. The second highest price for the day was $80,000 for Hip 95, a filly by Star Guitar out of Solo Buena. Both were purchased by Noble Oaks, Agent from the Clear Creek Stud consignment.
